Our Cleeve’s chocolate bars, beloved by Irish consumers, proudly feature a minimum of 30% cocoa solids, ensuring a significantly enhanced chocolate tasting experience. What’s more, Cleeve’s chocolate is free from palm oil and vegetable oil.
We are a proud member of Origin Green, Ireland’s food sustainability program. All our products are made from only the finest sustainably sourced ingredients and carry the Guaranteed Irish logo to reflect that they are manufactured in Ireland. Once
Upon a Time…
Cleeve’s Toffees was foundered by Thomas Henry Cleeve, whose English father emigrated to Canada and married an Irish woman of Huguenot decent. Thomas was born and went to school in Canada before venturing to Limerick, Ireland in 1864.
He would go on to make his mark in the dairy industry after acquiring a mill in 1882. His brothers were instrumental in establishing many creameries throughout Munster. Within 10 years, the Cleeve’s Brothers operated the largest milk processing factory in Ireland. Fast forward 140 years and Cleeve’s are the longest standing confectionary manufacturer in Ireland, having garnered a rich heritage along the way.
